Steam and dry Process

The steam and dry process provides good performance of wool futon applying high temperature steam to the carded wool web and it is quickly dried to re-gain the wool crimp, which is stretched by the carding process.

The carded wool web is slowly passed the steamer and 99.5’C steam relax the crimp and quickly dried in the dryer. The high frequency wool crimp creates high compression resistance and bulkiness, which are required as good wool futon fill.

All the Best Wool Club member manufacturers facilitate high performance steamer and dryer to produce the best quality wool futons for consumers.
